Attractiveness & Chemistry - how well do the stars connect?
Tom Cruise (a.k.a. international super hunk) and Thandi Newton, a gorgeous exotic lady, make this eye candy even more appealing. Tom made the theater goer sitting in the row directly behind us gasp, "Ohhhhhhhh - he's so pretty." Thandi distracted me with her voluptuous eyes, lips, skin, breasts, legs, etc. Because of her I'll go see Mission Impossible 3 - just in case they show clips of her. It's got action movie chemistry. They're both in danger, adding fuel to the fire.
Story line - does it work for the genre and the relationship?
The first Mission Impossible was thought by some to be confusing. That certainly won't be an issue here. There's explosions, exotic locales, gadgets, money, explosions, gorgeous people, explosions, more Tom Cruise kicking-ass than you've probably ever seen, and Thandi, oh Thandi. Suspend your disbelief for a couple of hours. Don't even bring your disbelief near the theater. It's the summertime bigtime that you've been looking for (get the girl AND save the world!).
Nookie Factor
They leave you wanting more, but who wouldn't want more from these two stars? Watching these two court amid the schemes, dancing, driving and death defying is what it's all about. Who wouldn't choose to accept this mission!?! I'm sure Nicole Kidman wished there was a stunt man for at least one scene.
