Attractiveness & Chemistry
This movie is hot! The chemistry and attractiveness of Meg Ryan and Mark Ruffalo is amazing and steamy. Meg's character is a bit somber but it does not effect the steaminess of these sex scenes. This movie was close to a NC17 rating for the sexual content. That should tell you right there.
Story Line
To not give away too much, this movie is a mystery thriller. Meg Ryan plays a Manhattan English teacher who gets involved with a detective, Mark Ruffalo. There is a serial killer and no one is without suspicion, including a great supporting cast in Kevin Bacon and Sharrieff Pugh. Dread is lurking around every corner and this builds the suspense.
The whodunit aspect of the movie falls apart, however, the great peformances, intense symbolism and raw emotion are enough to keep you satisfied for the full 118 minutes.
Nookie Factor
Plenty of Nookie here between Meg & Mark. Meg gets naked both emotionally and physically, and it is unexpected and amazing.

If you are a Meg Ryan fan because you love the perky performance, don't see this movie. If you know and enjoy Jane Campion's work, then see it. This movie is well done and well performed. It isn't perfect but it's worth the price of admission.
